Support worker

Duties: To help the Trainer to prepare and deliver IT training to people with learning disabilities.
This involves adapting training materials as well as preparing appropriate materials; consulting with the Manager on course plans; evaluating trainee progress, including collating information on attendance and progress
Essential Skills: Computer skills, Word, Internet. Digital camera
Desirable Skills: Knowledge of photo editing and desktop publishing

Marketing Assistant

Help us to get contracts to make information accessible. Research details of appropriate people in companies/organisations, write to them, and follow them up. Produce materials to help market Working with Words. Organise the databases.
Essential skills: Experience of marketing; literate; good telephone skills; IT literate.

Fundraising Assistant

Help us to get funds to provide training to people with learning disabilities/difficulties. Research relevant funders, identify appropriate people to write to, follow up by telephone. Produce materials to help fundraise. Organise the databases.
Essential skills: experience of fundraising; good telephone skills; must be IT literate.

Cleaner

Duties: Cleaning offices, kitchen and toilets.
This involves vacuuming, dusting, washing kitchen surfaces and floor, cleaning toilet, emptying bins
Essential Skills: Cleaning skills

Design assistant

Duties: Helping to make accessible leaflets, posters and web pages
Essential Skills: The ability to produce clear designs for print
Experience using QuarkXPress, Adobe PhotoShop and InDesign
Desireable Skills: Some experience of web design and using DreamWeaver. Also some skills at audio editing (ideally using Cubase or Wavelab)
