We provide training to adults with learning difficulties in computer, office and social skills.
The training covers:
- Induction: Introduction to staff, premises and each other; Fire Drill, Agreement; Basic Skills, questionnaire and targets for the year
- Health & Safety
- Working as a Team
- Communication (listening and speaking up)
- Making information accessible
- Equal Opportunities
- Environmental policy
- Computer (concepts, hardware, software, programmes and health and safety)
Microsoft Word (open, save, close, files, formatting, spell check)
Microsoft Publisher
Letter recognition (Alphabet, name and address, writing letters;
Number recognition, using a calculator and coin recognition- Telling the time
- Office equipment (how to use photocopier, telephone, laminator, filing
- Internet and email
- Digital camera (taking photos, downloading, naming, cropping and sizing)
- Audio (recording and editing sound)
- Web site (uploading text and photos)
- Preparing for work (CV and letter writing)
- Interview skills (mock interviews and feedback)
