Beacon video with Greenwich Council
We produced the video for Greenwich Adult Services to help them with their successful Beacon Status application. Beacon status is granted to:
"those authorities who demonstrate a clear vision, excellent services and a willingness to innovate within the theme.''Applicants must demonstrate that they have good overall performance, and not just in the service area for which Beacon status is awarded."
The video shows how Greenwich services support people to be more independent. The video involved filming at the Waterfront Leisure Centre, Sherard Road Service, the Clockhouse Centre and in the Street to show how people were involved in a range of community activities. Lana and Walter from Working with Words were interviewed. The footage was edited on our video workstation. We then added titles and music. The Council heard of their success in March this year.
Working with Words has designed the Beacon website at www.greenwichvaluingpeople.org.uk and designed accessible materials for the Beacon Open Day, and an accessible newsletter (pdf, 713mb).
